Why am I called cd34?

I'm not a staining protocol as google would have you believe.

In the mid 90s, when you registered domains with the Internic, you had to have a nichandle. On March 7, 1994, I registered my first domain, at which point I was assigned the nichandle of CD34. Later, ARIN added -ARIN to the nichandles.
