Something beyond the ordinary, pushing the limits of either ability or taste.

In porn, extreme is usually used to denote hardcore that pushes the limits, either with double penetrations, double anal, or more overt things such as choking or simulated forced sex or simulated rape. While many of these topics are popular with viewers, they are also more easily considered obscene by the courts, and therefore are more risky to shoot and sell. Also, credit card companies who process for membership sites often do not permit extreme material on sites they process for, and as a result, there are few sites offering this material.
